MylaFox Methods - Space Tutorial Pt. 1 by MylaFox MylaFox Methods - Space Tutorial Pt. 1 by MylaFox
Hello, everyone! I had been asked several times for some lessons and tutorials on how I create certain pieces of art. Most recently, I had been inquired on how I painted the background spacescape of the following piece:

His Eyes by MylaFox

An acquaintance of mine, 0MIN0US, requested a tutorial from me, and I decided it was about time to make a series of tutorials for my watchers. This is my very first tutorial, but I plan to make many more that span multiple subjects. Keep in mind that these tips not only apply to space art, but can be used for opacity painting in general.

This is part two:

Thanks for looking, and I hope this is helpful to at least some of you. If you find any mistakes, let me know! I don't intend that you copy the artwork in my example precisely, but rather use the information provided to you to create original pieces of your own.

This is the final product of these methods:

Update... Thank you so much for the DD! I hope that this will benefit the digital art community here. c:

So thats how you do it. Every time I try it never looks right.

Just keep going! That's probably the best, most straightforward advice I can give. If it doesn't look right, just keep going. Of course, don't overwork a single piece, but scrap the current and go straight to the next if you must. This approach has helped me get over the hurdles. You will eventually get it, I promise. Good luck!
